Dr. Christina Biren-Fetz
Growing up in rural California, Dr BF has had a passion and love of animals since a very young age. Most days were spent running around outside with the family’s dogs and cats, and inside there were always fish and birds, with the occasional fire-belled toad.
After high school, Dr BF moved to the coast and attended the University of California, Santa Cruz and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Wanting a more specific path that involved working with animals, she then attended the University of California, Davis and acquired a Post Graduate Certificate in Animal Science. She then began working at a local veterinary hospital as a veterinary assistant, and ultimately decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
Dr BF became part of the inaugural class of Midwestern University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, and graduated with her doctorate in 2018. She has a special interest in feline and canine preventative care and integrative medicine, and is a proponent of a multimodal approach to patient care. She is currently pursuing certification in acupuncture.
