Diagnostic & Lab Technology, Santa Clarita Vet

Our Diagnostic Services

Using our in-house lab, our clinic is proud to offer advanced diagnostic technology and tools to allow our veterinarians to give you an accurate diagnosis of your pet's medical issues.

  • Radiography (Digital X-Rays)

Using digital x-rays, otherwise known as radiographs, we examine your pet's internal systems. By doing so, we are able to discover information that might otherwise have been hidden.

Digital x-rays are safe, painless and aren't invasive. They also only use very low doses of radiation, meaning that they are generally safe for pregnant very young or pregnant pets.

They can be used to evaluate organs and bones and can diagnose a range of conditions such as chronic arthritis, broken bones, spinal cord issues bladder stones.

  • Ultrasound

Using ultrasound imaging, we expose part of your pet's body to high-frequency sound waves in order to produce an image of the inside of their body.

Since we are able to capture your pet's internal workings in real time using this technology, we can see their inner workings' structures and movements as well as blood flow.

  • Cold Lasers

Cold lasers create a focused light that stimulates the tissue at and below the surface of your pet’s skin promoting cellular energy and regeneration, resulting in tissue repair, better circulation and pain relief.

Cold laser therapy can be used to treat a variety of painful diseases, injuries and conditions in pets. These include musculoskeletal injuries, soft tissue injuries (sprains and strains) and osteoarthritis.

Cold laser therapy is often recommended in combination with other treatments.

  • Surgical Lasers

Surgical lasers can offer a number of benefits over traditional scapel surgery, including little to no hemorrhaging, reduced swelling and pain at the incision site, and increased precision. Lasers may yield superior results compared to scalpels, particularly with certain procedures.

  • Endoscopy machine

An endoscope is made up of a very tiny camera and light affixed to the end of a flexible tube that can be inserted directly into the body to observe an internal organ or tissue in detail.

This our endoscopy equipment helps us to diagnose and remove stones, place feeding tubes and more.
